Privacy Policy

This English version is a courtesy translation of the German-language privacy policy ("Datenschutzerklärung"), which is the legally binding version.

The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:

42551 Velbert
Germany
Phone: +49 (0) 2051 2073-600

Represented by Managing Director Maximilian W. Glatz.

A data protection officer has not been appointed pursuant to § 38 BDSG, as the legal requirements for doing so are not met. For data protection inquiries, please use the contact details above.

2. General information

We process personal data exclusively on the basis of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). This website serves to provide information about our corporate group and our investment profile. No registration is required, and no profiling takes place.

3. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by united-domains AG, Gautinger Straße 10, 82319 Starnberg, Germany. The servers are located within the European Union. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the provider.

Each time this website is accessed, the server automatically collects information transmitted by your browser and stores it in so-called log files:

  • IP address of the requesting device
  • Date and time of access
  • Name and URL of the file accessed
  • Amount of data transferred
  • Confirmation of successful retrieval
  • Browser type and version used
  • Operating system of the device
  • Referrer URL

This processing is carried out to ensure a smooth connection setup, convenient use of the website, and to evaluate system security and stability. The legal basis is our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR in the technically error-free and secure operation of the website. Log files are deleted after 30 days at the latest, unless security-relevant incidents require longer retention.

4. Contact by email and telephone

Our website does not include a contact form. You can reach us by email or by telephone. If you contact us this way, we process the data you provide – in particular your name, company, email address, phone number (if provided), and the content of your message – solely in order to handle your inquiry.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR insofar as your inquiry is aimed at the conclusion or performance of a contract, and otherwise our legitimate interest in responding to inquiries pursuant to Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR.

If, as part of an inquiry, you send us information about a company or a potential transaction, we treat this information confidentially and do not pass it on to third parties. For the exchange of confidential company information, we recommend making prior contact to agree on a suitable and secure transmission method.

Your information remains with us until your inquiry has been fully processed and no further retention is required. Statutory retention obligations – in particular commercial and tax law retention periods – remain unaffected.

5. Encryption

This website uses SSL/TLS encryption to protect the transmission of confidential content. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the "https://" prefix in your browser's address bar.

6. Cookies and analytics

This website does not use cookies for analytics, tracking, or advertising purposes. No web analytics services, social media plug-ins, or external font services are integrated. Technically necessary cookies may be used to ensure the functionality of the website; the legal basis for this is § 25 (2) TDDDG.

7. Disclosure of data

Your data will only be disclosed to third parties if this is necessary to process your inquiry, if you have expressly consented, or if we are legally obliged to do so. Data is not transferred to countries outside the European Union. Within the corporate group, we forward inquiries exclusively to the respective company responsible for the subject matter, insofar as this is necessary to respond to the inquiry.

8. Your rights

You have the right at any time to obtain information about the personal data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR), to have inaccurate data corrected (Art. 16 GDPR), to have data erased (Art. 17 GDPR), to restrict processing (Art. 18 GDPR), and to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR).

Insofar as we process your data on the basis of legitimate interests, you may object to this processing pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR. You may withdraw any consent given at any time with effect for the future.

To exercise your rights, please contact us using the details provided in Section 1.

9. Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority regarding the processing of your personal data. The authority responsible for us is:

North Rhine-Westphalia State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information
Kavalleriestraße 2–4
40213 Düsseldorf, Germany

10. Updates

The version of this privacy policy published on this website at any given time applies. We reserve the right to amend it to reflect changes in the law or in our technical implementation.
